“Rationale” Announcement

Broken English Films is proud to announce that the movie “Rationale” has entered pre-production. Currently being showcased is it’s blog, viewable at http://www.rationalemovie.com/blog/.

Broken English Films is also in the process of raising funds. If you wish to donate to the project please click here or alternatively you can donate through Paypal below.

Rationale is a fully independently funded project. The film was written without studio support by an everyday guy who tries to pay his bills on time, the reason it was written was because he felt he had a story he wanted to tell.

Because the film is made independently, it relies wholly on the donations of film-goes, film fans and aspiring producers to get involved and donate as little as a dollar. Without the good natured help that the world’s film community can provide, Rationale may not be made as professionally as we’ve set out for it to be.

Whether you’re able to donate a dollar, or thousands, whatever the sum you can help with, we would appreciate. All you need to do is click beneath and choose whatever you feel.

Please bear in mind that we will reward accordingly depending on your donation.

For $1-$149, we will include you in the film’s ending credits amongst our other donators as an “Executive Producer” (meaning you’ve helped fund the production of the film).

For $150-$499, we will include you in the film’s ending credits on a page all to yourself in a slightly larger font, also as an “Executive Producer.”

For $500 or above, we will include your credit as an “Executive Producer” during the film’s opening credits.

The film itself is a dark and interesting drama, based on the situations of two very different lives. On the one hand, we have Steve, a lonely man who kills people for money. His life has very little to it, and he keeps himself to himself. On the other side of the spectrum, we have Richard. Richard is a university professor who, in his late 50’s has a very mundane life. His routines in his work, and his personal life are boring, but he’s content with that.

In the blink of an eye, as life regularly does, things drastically change. Richard’s wife, Elizabeth, makes a bad decision which shapes the couple’s future forever. Richard, being the intelligent man that he is, decides he doesn’t wish to endure the pain of losing Elizabeth and dealing with life after her. Combining the reality of his uninteresting daily routine, and this new living situation, Richard decides enough is enough and seeks the help of a hitman to end his days.
